Read the following tutorial and learn how you can customize Image Carousel for website with Green Bean Plone theme.
To have image carousel first you need to install the following Plone products:
- collective.portlet.ngcollection (version 1.5 or higher)
- quintagroup.slidertemplates (version 1.5 or higher)
Navigate to Site Setup -> Add-ons and activate the above mentioned products.
First of all, create a collection of items for carousel, like news, images, pages with offers or products. Then go to the desired location and click on the “Manage portlets” item on the toolbar. Choose Plone Rightcolumn location for the portlet. Choose NG Collection portlet from the “Add portlet…” drop down on the page.
On the edit form insert portlet title, select collection you would like to use and choose template named “carousel”.
Save changes and now when you return to the homepage - you'll see new carousel.
