Part 8. How to manage Pacific Theme static portlets

The following tutorial explains how to manage static portlets within Pacific  responsive diazo Theme on a Plone 4.1 website.

In Pacific responsive  diazo Plone theme we have implemented special view for portlets inserted in header and footer, portlets added above and below content have another styling, and additional styles are applied for portlets displayed in right and left columns. To add them - you first need to install Products.ContentWellPortlets package and activate it via Site Setup -> Add-ons.

Now you can add portlets above content area by following Add, edit or remove a portlet above the content link anywhere on site.

You can add any type of portlet here, but let's add Static text portlet  into the A column. In the portlet Text area  add some text and image. Save the porltet and see how  it is displayed above the content area:

The Pacific theme also allows adding so-called portletStaticText  with adjusted styling. Just add a portlet above or below content area following the previous steps. Then upon inserting an image use Styles menu on the editor toolbar and assign style Portlet image. The image will be displayed under portlet title:port_static
